Insurance

  • Services may be reimbursable by your health insurance plan. It is your responsibility to check with your insurance company about your benefits and needed authorization prior to scheduling your first appointment. Failure to obtain authorization prior to your first appointment means you will be charged the full fee for the first appointment.
  • In-Network Benefits differ from Out-of-Network Benefits in that you will usually pay a higher copayment or coinsurance for the latter. If I am not in your network, and you would prefer to see me rather than someone in your network, check to see if you have out-of-network benefits before assuming you have no insurance coverage with me. You are never restricted by your insurance company as to whom you can see. It is finances that drive your decision.
  • As a courtesy to her clients, Dr. Peters can file claims for services to some insurance companies. In the event that you have insurance she does not file claims with, you will be expected to pay her for your services and she will provide you the necessary paperwork so that you can file the claim for reimbursement.
  • Medicare is accepted
  • Supplemental Insurance is required unless client agrees to pay the portion Medicare does not pay.
